At BRP, we always pride ourselves on enhancing the rider’s experience. This winter, our Ski-Doo brand has contributed to this goal by improving the safety and well-being of snowmobilers.
The brand has been giving back to communities via its Ski-Doo Grassroots Club Assistance program (#SkiDooTrailSupport), which was created in collaboration with the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO). To date, the brand has donated more than $100,000 CAD to help ensure that riders of all brands of snowmobiles have a safe place to stop and rest along the trails.
Through this initiative, Ski-Doo provided funding to snowmobile organizations throughout North America to be used and managed by local clubs on shelters so they could remain open and COVID-compliant. It helped to ensure snowmobilers get services on the trail and provided riders with safe places to rest and refuel. The funds also helped local businesses that have been supportive of snowmobilers.
“On behalf of our Board of Directors, volunteers and all members, I would like to thank Ski-Doo for this great initiative which is welcome in this period of pandemic,” said a spokesperson from Club de Motoneige Les Pistolets Inc. in Trois-Pistoles, Québec, Canada. “Your generous contribution will greatly improve the riding experience for all our members, as well as visitors.”
“We greatly appreciate this contribution,” added Maria Fortin, a rider and member of Club Les Amoureux de la Motoneige, Inc., in Matane, Québec, Canada. “It allows riders to be able to count on essential services at strategic locations in the context of the pandemic.”
This latest initiative is only one part of the Ski-Doo focus on safe riding. The brand has been investing in safe riding initiatives for decades, including its acclaimed avalanche training program.
