At BRP, we are passionate and committed to everything we do. This dedication applies equally to our commitment to the communities that our employees, dealers, customers and distributors work, give and play.
To reinforce our position as a corporate citizen and maximize our community investment, BRP has decided to rally around a collective cause on a global scale.
CHOOSING A CAUSE
The world is big and there is so much to do. That's why we
believe in focusing our efforts to generate concrete results and
maximize our impact in the communities where we operate.
Fighting against intimidation is a unifying and universal cause as we have all witnessed, been victims of, or even perpetrated bullying. Intimidation can hinder the development and growth
of children, just as it prevents adults from reaching their full personal and professional potential.
It is time to act collectively to build a world in which everyone
feels free and safe. By rallying together to initiate new, healthy
and positive behaviors, we can do just that.
THE RIDE OUT INTIMIDATION PROGRAM
With the choice of our cause, we have chosen to bring our network and resources together to fight intimidation. Our Ride Out Intimidation program consists of collaborations with global and local organizations to raise awareness and implement initiatives to counter this social issue. Our ambition is to stop intimidation on a global scale.
YOUTH IN SCHOOLS
The statistics are shocking: 1 in 3 children experience intimidation in their school environment. In order for our youth to grow up in an environment that encourages the development of learning, confidence and good social relationships, we will support organizations and initiatives that fight intimidation among the younger generations.
Bullying doesn't just happen in childhood and adolescence. Nearly half of adult professionals say they have been intimidated by a colleague. At BRP, we have implemented a zero tolerance policy for intimidation in all of our offices and facilities. To help employers educate and equip their employees, we will partner with organizations to deliver programs to be implemented in the workplace.
Marginalized communities are one of the hardest hit groups by intimidation. With the expertise of organizations that work with them, our ambition is to create a united, inclusive and diverse society in which differences are welcomed and celebrated.
BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION
Born This Way Foundation focuses on building a kinder, braver world by making kindness cool, validating the emotions of young people, and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health. Their global kindness campaign, #BeKind21, has engaged over 7 million people. Through BRP’s support, the organization will extend its impact, and inspire even more people to demonstrate kindness 365 days per year.
DITCH THE LABEL
Ditch the Label concentrates on supporting youth and young adults. Over the last 2 years, the organization successfully reached over 3.4 million people between the ages of 12 and 25 through digital support tools. Currently, Ditch the Label reaches youth in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. With BRP’s contribution, programs and presence will be extended to new regions.
THE JASMIN ROY SOPHIE DESMARAIS FOUNDATION
Initially created in Canada in 2010, the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation is recognized as a pioneer in anti-intimidation awareness and a subject-matter expert for initiatives, workshops and content specific to Intimidation.
