Rovaniemi, Finland, February 1st, 2008 - BRP and Fische Marine AS have signed a co-operation agreement regarding the distribution of Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines to BRP dealers in Finland and Sweden.
This agreement will be effective on February 1st, 2008.
Under the terms of the agreement, BRP will supply Fische Marine AS with Evinrude® E-TEC® outboards and administrative support while Fische Marine AS will be responsible for marketing & distribution of engines as well as parts, accessories and clothing.
"Fische Marine has a strong track record in developing the BRP outboard business in Norway. They've achieved growth by offering a combination of Evinrude and Johnson outboards, as well as a wide range of boats suitable for the Nordic market", says Michel Hade, Vice President and General Manager, BRP International Division. "We are confident, that this agreement with Fische Marine will provide BRP with long-term growth in the Finnish and Swedish markets", added Hade.
With over 40 years of experience, Fische Marine AS is a major player in the Norwegian marine business. It is part of a family-run company, Fische ASA that has been around since 1931. The company has a strong capital base and it is engaged in several other lines of business as well.
BRP offers a complete line of outboard engines ranging from 40 to 300 hp. The Evinrude
E-TEC advanced two-stroke outboard engine technology meets worldwide emissions standards such as E.P.A., C.A.R.B. and E.U., and produces fewer than half the total reportable emissions of competitive four-stroke engines. Exceptionally low exhaust emissions and amazingly low carbon monoxide emissions provide a cleaner, safer boating environment.
