BRP's Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines and icon throttle
BRP's Evinrude E-TEC direct injection 2-stroke outboard engine use 75% less oil than traditional two-strokes and 50% less than traditional direct injection systems. They release only one-fifth of the carbon monoxide emissions of a four-stroke engine at idle and are compliant with stringent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), European Union (EU), and California Air Resources Board (CARB) 3-Star ultra-low emissions standards.
BRP's ICON Throttle allows you to control and synchronise multiple engines at the same time while fine tuning the RPMs by 1% increments to find the perfect combination to maximise your fuel economy.
BRP's Rotax E-TEC 600 H.O. engine for Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles
When we adapted our Evinrude E-TEC marine technology to our Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, we proved once again, how we never stop innovating. Sleds equipped with the Rotax E-TEC 600 H.O. engines:
- consume 11.3 l/100 km (20.8 mpg) which is lower than any other two-stroke engine in the industry,
- have virtually no smoke or smell with the lowest oil consumption of any two-stroke engine in the industry; 50% less in comparison to current models in the market,
- the best emission rating in the industry for a two-stroke engine according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
BRP's Rotax E-TEC 800R engine for Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles
BRP's Rotax E-TEC 800R engine comes with the same direct-injection advantages as the Rotax E-TEC 600 H.O. engine but has more power with only a minuscule reduction in fuel efficiency. Sleds equipped with the Rotax E-TEC 800R engines:
- have a fuel consumption of 12.3 l/100 km (19 mpg)
- have virtually no smoke or smell - especially at start or at idle.
