BRP's Invitation sailboat
BRP's advanced concept team created the idea of a sailboat that is both dynamic and reassuring expressed through strong vernacular cues of long and narrow proportions, impressive sails and elegant keel. Equipped with a projected holographic map to assist with navigation, the sailor interacts with the craft in a harmonious and seamless manner, a true integration of form and function.
Sailing reinvented
Having the helm positioned at the bow enhances the user experience due to the close relationship with the water, where at times water can flow under and around the sailor’s body, truly providing a sense of speeding through the sea as a dolphin might know. The sail system is automatically governed and adjusted to wind and water conditions providing optimal performance while also linked to the main intelligent navigation system of the boat. It would feature a low-tech jet pump to get you back to shore when the wind lets you down, or simply to get you in the marina.
