Valcourt, Quebec, Canada - March 24th, 2006 - Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) all new Sea-Doo® GTI™ and GTI SE watercraft have been named the 2006 "Watercraft of the Year" by Watercraft World magazine.

Watercraft World is one of the leading personal watercraft publications in North America. It annually chooses the watercraft that best defines new standards in three major categories: innovation, long-term impact, and market appeal. This year, the editorial staff chose the fun-inspired 130 hp, three-passenger Sea-Doo GTI and GTI SE for standing head and shoulders above the pack in all three categories.

The editorial staff explained why the Sea-Doo GTI models were their clear choice: "With this debut, we are witnessing a major market swing to affordable and fun personal watercraft - machines we certainly hope will have a continued positive impact on the industry. These watercraft bring back the market appeal of a handling package that once drew so many veteran riders and first-time buyers to the table; building on a performance heritage, while also lending further credibility that the low-priced four-stroke movement is here to stay."

The 2006 GTI and GTI SE are the seventh Sea-Doo watercraft to win the coveted "Watercraft of the Year" award. Previous Sea-Doo watercraft winners include the 1991 XP™, 1992 GTX†, 1997 XP®, 2000 RX® DI, 2002 GTX† 4-TEC®, and 2004 RXP™.
