Dorset, UK, March 2009 – A wide selection of the latest BRP Evinrude® outboard engines will be available to test on the water at Northney Marina, from Saturday 14th – Sunday 15th March 2009.
Authorised Evinrude E-TEC® dealer, Powertech Marine, will be hosting the open days throughout the weekend to offer visitors the opportunity to test a variety of boats for sea trial including a selection of Ballistic RIBs, Jcraft RIBs and a Ranieri 7m cathedral hull, all powered with Evinrude E-TEC engines.
Powerboat Racing Champion, Neil Holmes, will also trial his 8m Phantom Evolution RIB, equipped with an Evinrude E-TEC 250 hp H.O. engine. In addition, Swann Marine will be showcasing two of their racing Phantoms ashore in static displays beside Powertech’s own racing 250SL catamaran.
Among the engines available for testing include the new 30 and 130hp Evinrude E-TEC engines, which made their UK debut at the London International Boat Show earlier this year. The new Evinrude E-TEC 30 hp engine delivers the highest fuel efficiency and most power in its competitive class, allowing boat owners to enjoy the advantages of quick acceleration, high power and low fuel consumption. The new Evinrude E-TEC 130 hp engine is ideally suited for RIBs and fishing boats, boasting low speed running capabilities and the lowest RPM of any engine in its class, making it well suited for slow speed trolling while providing precision control during mooring and other slow speed operations.
BRP's Evinrude E-TEC engine line-up now includes 110 engine models from 25- to 300-horsepower and all are 2010 EPA compliant, each offering low maintenance with three years or 300 hours no dealer-scheduled maintenance.
