This fall, International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan confirmed what BRP riders and enthusiasts already know: BRP is the world leader for developing powersports products.
The 66th International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, otherwise known as EICMA, is one of the most important exhibitions in the motorcycle industry. For all manufacturers EICMA is the ideal opportunity to showcase new products, and gauge the reactions of the public.
In an exhibition space the size of seven football pitches and half a million visitors, over 1000 exhibitors are vying for the attention of the crowd. In this huge competitive arena there was still one exhibitor that clearly stood out.

Stand M46, pavilion 14, was dominated by the impressive new Can-Am™ Spyder® roadster SE5. Displayed with the new black Phantom body kit (black painted body & fenders) the Spyder roadster SE5 could not be ignored. The Can-Am™ ATVs also impressed the visitors.
BRP prides itself on the uniqueness of its designs and it was safe to say at EICMA, these vehicles looked like no other. Over the six days, half a million visitors saw these innovative designs and literally thousands came to share their passion for the ultimate ride.
For many it was the first time they had seen the new Can-Am Spyder roadster SE5 with its semi-automatic transmission. This new model offers an extraordinary ease of use and smooth ride thanks to the advanced electronics.
Of course the ride says it all. And for existing Spyder owners EICMA was a fantastic opportunity to share their experiences and ultimately convey their massive enthusiasm for this new open air riding experience.
Spyder roadster owners also had a sneak preview of the complete range of cool gear and accessories.

Another big surprise for many visitors was Can-Am's all-new ATVs.
The Can-Am™ Renegade™ 800R EFI ATV was the best looking all terrain vehicles at the show. The striking new red colour looked sharp and the new graphics – tougher, thicker and with a scratch resistant coating – are perfectly suited to genuine off road riding.
But it wasn't the new looks that blew away racing enthusiasts. The ‘R’ added to the 2009 Renegade's nameplate means a further boost to the already best in class Rotax engines. The result is explosive power: a further 5 hp to the top of its powerband. This class leading performance comes from a re-engineered air filter (larger intake), an optimized intake runner, new camshafts and a new ECU calibration.
The last great unveiling at EICMA was the ultra-potent 2009 Can-Am™ DS 450™ EFI & DS 450 X. The new 2009 versions are powered by the proven Rotax engines and were equally well received. The DS450 X mx, the benchmark in the sports category, was a particular success and received fantastic comments from racing enthusiasts.
