UK, Dorset, 1 May 2009 – BRP has announced that it has extended its "2009 Five-Year Warranty" program offer to any customer purchasing an Evinrude® E-TEC® engine from a participating authorised BRP dealer in the UK and Ireland from 1st May – 31st July 2009. Customers who purchase a new, unused model year 2009/10 Evinrude outboard engine 40HP and greater, sold and warranty registered during this period, will receive an extended limited warranty in addition to the existing limited warranty that is currently offered on new engines purchased.
The extended warranty gives customers a 5-Year Factory Backed Limited Warranty (3-year BRP Factory Warranty PLUS an additional 2-year or 1,000 hours of lifetime usage, whichever occurs first).
Evinrude E-TEC engines deliver high power and low weight for exceptional performance and efficiency. The design of the Evinrude E-TEC engines enable its assembly head to consist of only two parts, so there are no belts, no timing chains, camshafts or valves to change. This results in no scheduled dealer maintenance required for three years or 300 hours.
