V: THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME

With its new V220 naturally aspirated and V300T turbocharged aircraft engines, BRP is set to change the shape of general aviation. These two compact V6 engines offer a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, exceptionally smooth and quiet operation, and an advanced Engine Management System (EMS) for improved fuel and operating efficiency. Built for reliability and easy maintenance, the V220 and V300T will be sold as fully equipped Powerplant Pack Integrated Assemblies (PPIA) for ease of installation.

The 120o offset V configuration of these engines will allow tighter, lighter, more aerodynamic cowling designs, and the technical refinements incorporated by the Bombardier Recreational Products team make them exceptionally smooth in operation. The efficient liquid cooling system keeps thermal engine stresses to a minimum, even during rapid altitude changes, and provides safe, effective cabin heating with no CO poisoning risk.

The true Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) provided by the EMS reduces pilot workload by allowing for single-lever operation, with just one control to "set and forget" for optimum throttle, fuel mix and propellor pitch settings. As well, the V220 and V300T will run on unleaded automotive fuel, which is easier on the pocketbook - and the environment.
