ALL THE POWER, COMFORT AND PEACE OF MIND YOU WANT ON THE TRAILS - AND LOWER EMISSIONS.
The Rotax® 4-TECTM V-1000, displacing 1,000 cc, is the first two-cylinder, four-stroke engine specifically designed for snowmobiles. Engine-builder Rotax® is known throughout the world for its four-stroke expertise: the 4-TECTM V-1000 is one of the cleanest in the world, with generous trail torque and a throaty sound. It reduces emissions by as much as 50 percent and improves fuel economy by as much as 25 percent.
Furthermore, because of its 80-degree V-configuration, the engine can be mounted very low on the platform and weight is reduced by eliminating the need for a balance shaft.
Launched in 2001, this engine was showcased during the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, where Bombardier was the official supplier of snowmobiles.
