Sydney, Australia, April, 2008 – As the 2007/2008 Offshore season draws to a close, with only 1 race to go (Townsville 21/22 June), BRP are excited that Grumpy Mongrel has the 2007/2008 Australian championship in the Super Vee Lite class all sewn up!

With 4 wins and a 2nd from 5 races, Grumpy Mongrel and their Evinrude E-TEC 250 HO have an unbeatable points lead in the series.

The last round was held on Sydney Harbour right in front of the Opera House to the cheers of the largest crowd seen for a powerboat race in the country.

With BRP Australia a sponsor for the Sydney race it was a pleasure for us to start the race from the BRP start boat.

The race was fiercely competitive with the lead changing between Grumpy Mongrel and Slick several times throughout the race. However, after 1 hour of racing Grumpy Mongrel and their Evinrude E-TEC 250 HO managed to pull away and eventually win by 3 minutes.
