Bombardier Introduces The Evinrude®/Johnson® Propellers Specially Designed For Pontoons

Sturtevant, Wis. - 2002-09-13

Bombardier Recreational Products recently introduced the new line of HydrusTM high-thrust propellers from Evinrude/Johnson Genuine Parts and Accessories. The all-new, three-blade aluminum propellers are specifically engineered to provide peak performance for pontoon boats powered by Evinrude and Johnson 40- to 50- HP outboard engines. The Hydrus propellers are designed with a 13-, 11- and 9- pitch configuration. These propellers have interchangeable hubs so that they can be used on several competitive brand outboard engines.

"Aggressive cupping of the blades eliminates ventilation. A special blade contour delivers maximum thrust to lift the bow and deliver better speed under load. Designed with a bigger blade area, the Hydrus propeller will provide higher reverse thrust for greater stopping power and more control while docking", according to Dean Devore, Director of Parts, Accessories and Clothing, Boats and Outboard Engines.

The Evinrude/Johnson Genuine Parts product line includes oil and engine care products, propellers, service parts, replacement parts, engine add-on kits, and allied and marine accessories.

Bombardier Recreational Products designs, develops, builds, distributes and markets utility vehicles, Rotax® engines, Ski-Doo® and Lynx® snowmobiles, Bombardier® ATVs, Sea-Doo® watercraft and sport boats, Bombardier Fish HawkTM fishing boats as well as the Evinrude® and Johnson® outboard marine engines and the Ficht® direct fuel injection technology.
