The award-winning Quest 650 and DS 650 Baja

Bombardier Recreational Products is proud to announce that two new Bombardier all-terrain vehicle models were recently acclaimed "ATV of The Year". The 2002 Canadian ATV Guide bestowed the prestigious honour of "ATV of the Year, All Categories" on the Bombardier QuestTM 650 4-TECTM which was introduced to the growing Bombardier ATV line last June, targeting the sport-utility segment of the market. Likewise, Bombardier's new DS650TM Baja, launched in September 2001, took the checkered flag in its own market segment, being named "Sport/Performance ATV of the Year".

Both winning ATVs were cited by the 2002 Canadian ATV Guide as "industry benchmarks" and "best consumer choices" in recognition of Bombardier's "outstanding effort in technological development and continuous improvement of its ATVs." The ATV of the Year Awards are based on such trend-setting criteria as technological innovation; advancements in the reduction of sound levels and emissions; quality of engineering and design; quality of manufacture and finishing; attention given to general comfort and ergonomics; multitasking capability for both work and off-road use; and general performance.

"These awards are one more very strong affirmation that Bombardier has become a top contender in the ATV industry," stated Pierre Arsenault, Vice President Marketing, Snowmobiles, Watercraft and ATVs division. "They also provide recognition of Bombardier's tremendous commitment to excellence and of the achievements of the team including Bombardier-Rotax GmbH of Austria, our very own engine manufacturer."

Specially engineered to meet the demands of recreational riders, the Quest 650 4-TEC benefits from several innovative technologies such as its new Rotax® 644 cc 4-TEC engine that delivers quick, responsive power across a very wide power band and the fully integrated, 'continuously variable transmission' (CVT) provides quicker, smoother acceleration engagement.

Built to commemorate Bombardier's spectacular victory at the Score Baja 2000, the world's longest running and most gruelling off-road desert endurance race, the Bombardier DS650 Baja is the most factory-complete, total-performance ATV on the market. It is powered by the latest 653 cc liquid-cooled four-stroke Rotax engine which delivers more torque and power than any other ATV in its class.

The award-winning Quest 650 and DS 650 Baja are two of the proven champions in the winner's circle of Bombardier ATV models which also includes the utility-targeted TraxterTM, the DS650TM sport model, and the DS50TM, DS90TM and DS90 four-stroke youth ATVs.
